YOUTH MINISTRY

At St. Columba’s, we feel that part of our call to be God’s people is to educate our young ones in His ways. We offer several different ways in which we build stronger lives on the love and hope of Jesus Christ for our children and teens. We offer an extensive array of Sunday School programs for educating about Scripture and God’s movement in our lives. Children’s chapel gives our children the opportunity to engage God’s word on their own level during the Mass. We have a number of programs and activities for our teenagers through our EYC program. Make sure to check out the pages for both the Sunday School program and our EYC group.
In addition to these exciting venues, we offer several seasonal programs. Our First Communion class runs twice a year and gives children ages six and up the knowledge and know-how to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion. For teenagers in the 9th grade and older we have a Confirmation class for instruction in receiving that sacrament and becoming a part of the larger Church. Also be on the lookout for information regarding our annual Christmas pageant.
St. Columba’s also has an experienced nursery staff for parents of infants and toddlers. The nursery is available for the 9 and 11:15 Masses and during the Sunday School hour, as well as for certain special events at the church.
