First Communion Classes

October 10th - November 28th

 

Each Sunday during Mass, we gather to partake of the Blessed Sacrament, to know the presence of Christ in our lives and to celebrate the majesty and glory of God.  Allowing our children to participate in the beauty of this Holy Communion is a joy - it brings them together with the rest of the parish family.  St Columba’s offers a First Communion and Communion Instruction session for baptized children ages 6 and up to give them a better idea of why this is an important part of who we are as Christians, and also to give instruction as to the etiquette one uses in receiving the Sacrament.

 

This Fall, Fr. Joe will be offering the class on Wednesday evenings following the Mass and potluck support from 7:00pm to 7:30pm starting October 10th.  A full calendar will be released with class dates.  The First Communion fro this session will be December 2nd at the 9:00am Mass.  Another Communion Instruction class will be offered after the Christmas break on Sunday mornings during Sunday School hour.
