Annual Parish Meeting & Vestry Elections

Sunday, January 14, 2018 @ 5:00 pm

Our Annual All-Parish Meeting will take place at 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2018.   We’ll begin with dinner (smoked Boston pork shoulder & all the trimmings, provided by the Knights of Columba) and then move into our annual parish meeting.  It’s an exciting time in the life of the parish as we celebrate the blessings we’ve all shared in our parish and look into the coming year of new programs, mission opportunities, and growth.

During the annual meeting, we will take the opportunity to thank those who have served on vestry for the past three years and will rotate off upon the election of new vestry members.  Please join in thanking   Laura Dillon, Ellen Siegfried, & Jason Startt,  for their outstanding service and sharing of their time and talent in ministry leadership during these past three years. We extend a special thanks to Scott Doyle, who has also served as our senior warden this past year and to Jeannie Lamp who has served for the past nine years as our parish treasurer and will step down as the parish treasurer, but stay on as an advisor to the new treasurer and as a member of the finance committee.

If you would like to nominate yourself or another parishioner to be elected to the vestry at the annual meeting, please submit their names to either of the parish wardens (Scott Doyle or Brian Werth) by Sunday, January 7, or complete the nomination form found on the parish website (see the link below).

To be eligible to serve on vestry, candidates must meet the following requirements set by Canon Law:  (i) be a confirmed communicant of at least 18 years of age; (ii) have been a member of the parish for at least one year; (iii) have made and maintained a financial pledge to the parish operating budget for the current and previous years; (iv) and be able to attend the monthly vestry meetings held on the 3rd Monday of each month.  Vestry members must also be able to attend the annual weekend retreat held the third or fourth weekend of each January and also coordinate one of the 11 ministry commissions.  Ours is a 12 member vestry with each member serving a three-year term.  For 2018, the retreat will be Januay 19-21, 2018 at Camp Mikell.
