The Sacred Triduum

Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil

The Sacred Triduum—from Maundy Thursday through Good Friday to the Great Vigil of Easter—forms the very heart of Holy Week and the center of the Church’s life. Over these three sacred liturgies we walk step by step through the mystery of Christ’s saving love: gathering at the table of the Last Supper, standing at the foot of the Cross, and keeping watch through the night as the light of the Resurrection breaks into the world. The Triduum is not simply three services but one great act of worship unfolding across three days, inviting us to enter deeply into the story of our redemption and to experience the joy of Easter with renewed faith.
